Not on My Faith!

I know deep down in my spirit that faith requires for us to anchor onto and lean a bit closer into the word of the living God (James 4:8). For the Word of God declares that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). During specific times in our lives, there will be a knock, or even a nudge that will indicate a season of testing. The test is the spirit searching spirit asking, will you stretch your faith a bit more? (1 Cor 2:10-12).

This usually will take action on our part (James 2:26). We might begin by envisioning a new life, and dreaming (Colossians 3:10). We may find ourselves asking God for a will that we never thought we ourselves would even verbalize in a prayer (1 John 5:14-15). We will find that we will begin to pray for a future, and the resources to see it come to pass, when we never planned that kind of future in the first place (Proverbs 16:9). These are all moments of faith that will take us exactly where the Lord in His word said it would…. from faith to faith and glory to glory (Romans 1:17).

The best part about being born-again in Christ Jesus is the part of God’s will, promise and hope for us! His word declares He is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). I have found that as

I read the recap on Abraham in the book of Romans (chp.4) (Genesis 11-25), it gave me remembrance of when I first met Christ as a young woman. The Lord literally met me where He was the only one who could give life to the dead and called into existence the things that did not exist in my heart or understanding at the time (Romans 4:17).

I give God glory that we get to share where faith introduced itself, and where we so open heartedly received. What a beautiful exchange, for Jesus to die for our sins; our past, our present and future, and all He requires for that death is our faith!

What a sweet deal!

I have found that faith requires work. It will require us to believe with minimal doubt and put our best portion of faith forward in the steps that are ordered by the Lord. Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). We know that without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him (Hebrews 11:6).

Our faith chases the Lord, and as it should be, for we are encouraged to seek first the kingdom of Heaven and its righteousness and everything else will be added to us (Matthew 6:33). Now, as we await the blessings that will be added on from the kingdom, we continue to walk by faith and not by sight; waiting patiently on the Lord, for He will strengthen our hearts (Psalm 27:14).

I pray today we continue as our forefather of faith Abraham did, not wavering at the promises of God through unbelief, but being fully convinced that what God has promised, he is also able to perform in Jesus name.

Until Next Time Beloved, Walk by Faith and Not by Sight!
