Matthew 13:44 ~ Jesus states, "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.”
I wonder how desperate we would have to be to come knocking, and stay knocking until someone answers the door? Jesus tells a story of a woman who came knocking to resolve a matter of justice, her matter was resolved, eventually, (Luke 18:1-18). What encouraged me the most in that bible passage was how she kept knocking!
Nowadays, most don’t have tolerance, patience, or mind space to even hurt their precious knuckles, so how much more falling to their knees? When I consider being a woman of faith, and having an expectation, I seem to come to my senses equivalent to a pit bull. I find, I want to keep digging, keep pressing in, keep locking jaw on an inquiry to heaven until I am given wisdom, and I understand, the reason I went biting down in the first place. Jesus equates heaven to such a matter in the heart of the seeker (Matthew 13:44).
This requires intentionality, focus and patience.
I wonder if we ever consider how patient, but expectant faith is? My faith has taken me state to state, has separated me from family, has caused me to lose jobs, homes, personal keepsakes, have caused friends to unfriend me, and I have even had a church or two turn me away. Thank God, I am on assignment with my faith and how faithful is God with His faithfulness!
There will be moments when we knock, but the door won’t open. There will be moments as well that some doors won’t close and for the unseen reason (faith) you are determined to remain the course of how one would intentionally and purposefully open a door, and the same works for shutting one.
It will all begin by faith, and by action faith will have us raise a hand, bang on doors, and make a sound. Faith will have us bowing low, either way, all meets God in His presence, doing exactly what is expected of faith, it pleases God and by faith we find the Lord working all things together for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose, (Romans 8:28), and even so by faith.
Until Next Time Beloved, Read the Word to Know Him!
