Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial, which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you, (1 Peter 4:12). How many times have we found ourselves caught right in that moment when we are thinking something “strange” is happening. There will always be disruptions as a believer, and as we continue to walk by faith and not by sight. There will be turbulence whether we are in the mood or not. We may even find ourselves saying things that we know we shouldn’t speak life into like “if one more thing happens!!”
Let us be encouraged to zone it in “not panic, not fret”, but remain on course.
I am reminded of the Psalmist, (23:2-3) words when he expressed God lying him down in green pastures and leading him beside still waters. In that same moment the psalmist also expressed that the Lord restored His soul. Praise God for leading us back to our spiritual senses. Dying to this flesh daily takes faith, and grace for a do-over. At any moment in our walk where we aren’t paying attention to where we may have become spiritually parched is when we need a spiritual spa moment with the Lord. That moment of relaxation is when we lie down, take a moment and breathe. Breathe and remember God’s promises, what He spoke over you, through you and in you from the moment you believed.
Remember that all that He is working out of us, is so others can be drawn to Jesus in us. The desire for Christ will come with opposition, agitation, disturbance and occurrences we didn’t factor in, but nevertheless, “don’t think it strange.” (1 Peter 4:12).
Planning ahead does prepare us for the shifting, the turbulence, and strong winds. It makes room for the things that just won’t make sense, but God will confound us with His wisdom when it is revealed. Thank God, that as we have faith and follow, He has prepared spaces, pastures, still waters and paths that will help to replenish us and send us right back out for His name’s sake, that prayerfully we will find ourselves once again seeking to breathe again by His still waters.
Until Next Time Beloved, Read the Word to Know Him!
